Lesa Grimes-Thomas Ceramics specialises in ceramic ware. It is based on the coast line of North Wales, in the market town of Abergele.
Lesa's work is inspired by seedpods found all over the world. Seeds represent a new beginning; just as the flower releases its seeds before dying, and renewing its life. The series of tableware and wall installations that can be found on this website, examines the cyclical nature of repeat forms that connect and interact to create continuous lines and associations, giving the potential for imagined conversations between objects
In her recent work Lesa has been using thrown away objects as a source of inspiration, exploring the relationship between forms nesting together of a contrasting aesthetic, surface texture, weight and monochromatic tones.
